Well in case you haven't noticed, this blog has run its course. The purpose of this blog was to detail my journey from frat boy to law student. That journey is now over.

I will be starting this fall as a Harvard Law School 1L.

I will once again restart my blogging experience at a new blog,

Good Luck everybody.

School Are Actually Deciding!

More news!

Today I went to check my mail box and I received a letter of acceptance and additional materials from Columbia. I do not think I will be accepting, however each acceptance is a nice feeling!

The next step is to draft and send my first round of withdrawl letters. Currently I am planning on withdrawling from the following schools:

Indiana
Cornell
Boalt

I am also considering withdrawling from the following schools:

GULC
Columbia

I am waiting on scholarships from the following schools before I withdrawl (assuming the offer isn't enough to sway me)

Penn
Chicago
U Va
Michigan

I will keep everybody updated and of course I will post a copy of the letter I send as well!

Chicago

Heard from the University of Chicago in an odd way.

I went to see a movie, and when I got out, I had a messege on my cell phone. I checked the messege and it was from EIGHT HOURS EARLIER and it was from the University of Chicago. I called during business hours the next day and asked her to cal me back. I walked away from my computer for three minutes and missed her call. I then called back and she notified me that I was accepted.

After this had occured, I went downstairs to check my mail. Sure enough, there was an envelope from the University of Chicago containing an acceptance letter. If I had read my mail first, I would have been able to save myself the trouble of playing phone tag with the admissions office.

Oh well, such is life.

I hear Chicago gives nice things during ASW so I fully plan on visiting.

Jimmys Makes Good Drinks

The title has absolutely nothing to do with this post, it is just a statement of fact. That said, this week I received a letter of notification from U Va that I was accepted. The letter went on to tell me that they would be considering me for scholarship funds and notifying me once the scholarship committee makes a decision (they said I would be notified in March or April).

So that is some good news.

I hope to hear from Chicago this week!

So

After returning to school I have some more news worth updating:

I was accepted to Indiana with a decent but not full ride scholarship. I was debating if I should just withdrawl now when.....

I was also accepted to UIUC with a full ride scholarship. I will let Indiana know when I get back to school. other than those two, nother earthshattering, mostly updates from schools I have already heard of.

Harvard's binder is TIGHT.

Also, UVa emailed me to tell me they sent my package, Im guessing its good newsbut who knows.

I will keep everybody updated.

More News

After I posted yesterday I received an Email from Notre Dame welcoming me into their 1L class. They said a formal notification was being mailed and that I should receive the information at my home address in a few days. This is very exciting news! Notre Dame wasn't at the top of my list, but if they offer big money, I could easily move them up quickly. We will see.
